Angelica Rivera is a Mexican actress and former First Lady of Mexico. Born on August 2, 1969 in Mexico City, she began her acting career in the late 1980s and became a popular telenovela actress in Mexico.
Rivera married Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto in 2010 while he was serving as Governor of the State of Mexico. She served as First Lady of Mexico from 2012 to 2018. During her time in office, Rivera focused on social causes and charity work, but also faced criticism and scrutiny over allegations of corruption and conflicts of interest.
After leaving the presidential residence in 2018, Rivera has remained largely out of the public eye. She has continued to pursue her acting career, appearing in various television and film projects. Additionally, she has three daughters from a previous marriage.
